The UN agency for Migration – IOM Tunisia is looking for an Admin Intern according to the

Organizational Context and Scope:
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an organization of the United Nations with 174 Member States committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. Established in 1951 and now active in over 400 field locations in 100 countries worldwide, IOM works with governments, civil society and other partners to: assist in meeting the operational challenges of migration governance; advance understanding of
migration issues; promote social and economic development through migration; and uphold the human dignity and well-being of migrants.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Tunisia, and the direct supervision of the
Head of Protection & Health Unit and in coordination with relevant units, the incumbent shall be
responsible for carrying out the below responsibilities in accordance with IOM’s regulations,
rules and procedures
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Assist the organization and participation in meetings with key local stakeholders (local Government institutions, CSOs, etc.) and the private sector, inter alia, taking minutes of the meetings, and carrying out further analysis as needed;
2. Assist in the logistical preparation of events organized by the Unit as well as with the preparation of the materials needed for the smooth implementation of the event;
3. Contribute to the smooth daily running of all administrative functions related to the implementation of the activities of the Migrant Protection and Health Unit in a timely fashion, and in accordance with IOM’s rules and regulations;
4. Assist with the preparation and follow-up of procurement, financial and HR procedures (including submission of purchase requests, purchase orders, requests for payments, good receipt notes, vouchers, HR forms) by liaising with IOM staff as needed;
5. Arrange the Migrant Protection and Health Unit project staff duty travels including the preparation of the Travel Authorizations; assure that Security Clearances are requested and received; book hotels and transport and prepare and submit to finance travel claims and follow up about their payment;
6. Assist in creating and maintaining a proper documentation and systematic tracking and filing systems of administrative documents including the maintenance of the classification system (Hard/Soft copies) and databases of the relevant documents;
7. Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent, or higher, in Business Administration, Finance, Political or Social sciences or other related field from an accredited academic institution.
• Experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting is an asset.
• Experience in administration and technical assistance to executives is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP accounting system, generally accepted accounting principles and audit/review procedures is an asset.
• Prior work experience in an international organization and/or non-governmental organizations (NGO) is an advantage. Work with the private sector is also appreciated.
• Experience in Migration is desirable
Skills :
• Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within people at different levels within and outside organization and with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds
• Candidate should be highly motivated with dynamic personality and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
• Ability to draft correspondence and communicate effectively;
• High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook); experience in handling web-based management system;
• Ability to analyse and interpret source information and data; capable of designing, reviewing and revising business processes to achieve efficiency;
• Strong organizational and planning skills;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all three languages (Arabic, French,English);
• Attention to details and problem-solving skills;
• Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds
Languages:
• Full fluency in written and spoken French and English. Knowledge of Arabic is an
advantage
