This call is part of the YIEP DAPP project (Danish-Arab Partnership Program for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship), led by GAME Tunisia.
Organization Description:
The Changers is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in Tunisia, aiming to develop national culture among young people and encouraging them to engage in a positive change process for more resilient local communities.
YIEP Description:
Danish-Arab parnership program funds the Youth Inclusion and Employment Project (YIEP), which focuses on enabling young people to be inspired and included in economic life. The target groups are budding entrepreneurs and youth in search of employment. YIEP aims to equip young people with the right skills and connections to secure decent jobs or engage in entrepreneurship.
Realizing our objective involves centering our efforts around young people and working collaboratively with local implementers to yield impactful results.
Tasks and duties of the Activity Coordinator:
The responsibilities of the Activity Coordinator position include, but are not limited to :
- Develop and implement activity plans in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate logistical aspects, such as venue arrangements, materials, and equipment.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including participants, volunteers, and partners.
- Communicate program details, updates, and expectations effectively.
- Ensure active participation and engagement of participants during activities.
- Address any concerns or challenges faced by participants promptly.
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently to support the smooth execution of activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of activities, gathering feedback for improvement.
- Establish and implement efficient systems for project monitoring and evaluation to measure results and track progress.
- Prepare regular reports on activity outcomes, attendance, and participant feedback.
- Work closely with other team members and volunteers to ensure seamless coordination.
- Address unexpected issues or challenges that may arise during activities.
- Implement solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure the success of the program.
- Uphold quality standards in the delivery of activities, maintaining a positive experience for participants.
- Implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the activities.
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, feedback, and other relevant data.
- Prepare documentation for each activity, including summaries and reports.
Profile of the Activity Coordinator:
- A university degree in a relevant discipline, such as business administration, Event Management, Social Sciences, project management, human resource management or a related field.
- Proven experience in coordinating and organizing events or activities, preferably in a youth-focused or community setting.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
- Proven success in leading challenging projects from inception to completion, preferably in activities aligned with the mission of our organization.
- Previous coordination experience in non-governmental organizations and at the community level, specifically in youth engagement activities.
- Proficient in streamlining procedures and enhancing project outcomes through the use of project management tools.
- Outstanding analytical abilities enabling the evaluation of performance indicators, opportunities, and project risks.
- Exceptional communication skills and a history of engaging stakeholders, fostering dialogue, and presenting results.
Qualifications required for this position:
