Assignment:

the REACH Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the Tunis-based REACH teams in carrying out data collection for REACH assessments and surveys, supporting data cleaning and liaising with Data Collectors in Libya during the data collection period. The REACH Project Assistant will liaise with the Senior Assessment Officer, Assessment Officer, Database Officer and GIS Officer to ensure timely collection of data from local partners based in Libya during the assessment period. The REACH Project Assistant also acts as point of contact for the team of Data Collectors in the field. Fulfilling other duties when requested by the Country Focal Point or Assessment Manager.                                               

We are currently looking for a REACH Project Assistant to support our REACH Libya team based in Tunis, Tunisia. No travel to Libya required

REACH Senior Assessment Officer / Assessment Officer / Country Focal Point

Responsible for:

REACH Enumerators, local partners

Working Relations

Internal Relations:

REACH Senior Assessment Officer / Country Focal Point, REACH Assessment Officer; REACH Project Officer, REACH GIS Officer, REACH Database Officer, REACH Assessment Intern, Enumerators other ACTED team members.

Responsibilities

The REACH Project Assistant is responsible for completing the following tasks:

Planning and liaison:

• According to project work plan, supervising and liaising with Libya based field teams and Data Collectors in their daily activities to ensure timely collection of data.
• Communicate with REACH Libya based teams on a daily basis and relaying requests to and from the REACH Tunis based teams
• Checking the activities for the following week, following up with any additional planning of activities.
• Checking the activities for the following week, following up with any additional planning of activities.
• Supporting the data collectors with daily work plans and communicating to them relevant information from the Country Focal Point/Field Manager or other staff.
• Checking the activities for the following week, following up with any additional planning of activities.
• Ensuring that the data collectors complete HR documents such as vacation requests in time, and complete the daily attendance sheets.

Remote supervision of Data collection and support to project manager:

• Supporting the update of Key Informant data base and other data entry as needed.
• Monitoring remotely the data collection in the field and check it is collected with quality (for example, interview technique, methodology of assessment is followed, location of assessment is correct).
• Reporting any changes in circumstances (e.g. delays in data collection or security incidents) to the Assessment Officer.
• Providing additional support as required relating to the implementation of activities.
• Support the project manager in analysing and translating to English qualitative and quantitative data collected from the field and any other documentation.
