Sadem Jebali is currently enrolled in the public policy master’s program of the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany. While studying, he is also working as journalist and consultant for the British Council in MENA with a special focus on civil society-government relationship development in countering violent extremism. Prior to coming to Berlin, Sadem worked in the international development sector for five years in the Arab world and developed an expertise on Youth and civil society movements in the region and in Tunisia.
Sadem was one of the co-founders of the first debate society in Tunisia which counting now thousands of promising members and young people in different region of the country, he started this intitiative by training and supporting debate clubs creation in high schools, NGOs and universities. He realized different social projects in Tunisia, including Jamaity which is the largest civil society platform in the country as well as the Tunisian Youth Forum, which is a coalition of youth NGOs monitoring youth policies and government budgeting. Sadem is still active within the Global Shapers community, which is the World Economic Forum youth initiative.
Within the team, Sadem will contribute to the think tank policies development in addition to the strategic case of the campaign building.
