During INTERFERENCE, international artists meet in Tunis and show their light art works on various sites in the Medina. Victoria Coeln, Vicki DaSilva, Houda Gorbel and Wadi Mhiri, Tom Groll and Kuno Seltmann, Andrea Thembie Hannig, Hartung and Trenz, Margareta Hesse, Annika Hippler, joeressen+kessner, Francesco Mariotti, Marcus Neustetter, Diana Ramaekers, RaumZeitPiraten, Ursula Scherrer, Kurt Laurenz Theinert, Ingo Wendt, Xenorama, among others, are contributing site-related light art interventions.
During INTERFERENCE, international curators and producers of art and light events will meet in Tunis and will discuss the impact of their festivals on democratic culture, public sphere, and urban development. They present and explain best and bad practice and will reflect on the potential to develop a light art biennial for Tunis.

During INTERFERENCE, Prof. Bettina Pelz, Liubov Moskvina and Lena Weisner from the University of Applied Science Hildesheim and Nada Essid and Anouar Hajjar from the National School of Architecture and Urbanism Tunis, head a workshop to develop temporary lighting designs for selected sites in the Medina. During the festival, the participants will be on the chosen sites and will explain to the visitors what the results of the lab.
