About the speaker:
Dr. Michalak has spent over a decade in Tunisia, beginning as a Peace Corps Volunteer in 1964. He received his BA from Stanford (1964), his MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London (1970) and his PhD from UC Berkeley (1983). He was Vice Chair of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley for 23 years. #IRCTunisEvent
