Action Against Hunger is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), established in France in 1979.
Action Against Hunger- France is part of the Action Against Hunger International network, which provides humanitarian relief in more than 45 countries worldwide in the sectors of nutrition, health, water/sanitation, and food security.
Action Against Hunger tackles the causes and effects of hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable children, women and men.
We act either during the crisis through emergency interventions, or afterwards through rehabilitation and sustainable development programmes. We also intervene early to prevent certain high-risk situations.
Since the reasons for hunger are many, our response is multi-sectoral based on solid expertise.

As the world’s hunger specialist, our primary goal is to create a better way to deal with hunger. For more than 40 years, we have led the global movement that aims to end life-threatening hunger for good within our lifetimes.
Action Against Hunger – is fighting against hunger in the world. Its mission is to save lives eradicating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, in particular during and after emergency situations caused by conflicts and natural disasters.
Priorities:
Our global efforts save hundreds of thousands of lives each year, but millions of undernourished children remain in need of lifesaving treatment. We are committed to doubling the number of children who receive urgent hunger care, from three million to six million by 2020.
