Project manager tasks

  • Project managers ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project’s objectives are met and that local coordinators are doing their job properly
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with experts and senior management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project in collaboration with the financial team and the office manager.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule with experts and senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Determine-in collaboration with the grant manager and the experts- the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Ensuring the implementation of activities in accordance with the logical framework PAGUDEL II
  • Working in accordance with the rules and procedures established by CILG VNG International and donors.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the partners and the concerned team
  • Ensure partners needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Coordinate with local coordinators for pilot projects issues and review field inspection reports from local coordinators throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Participate in improving internal and external communication and the promotion of the image of CILG VNG International.
  • Ensure the reporting activities, monitoring and evaluation related support files.
  • Participate in staff team meetings
  • Provide input to the strategic planning process of the HR.
  • The completion of all tasks must adhere to the schedule, completion dates of activities and budget defined in the PAGUDEL II
  • Develop request for proposals and manage the selection process for hiring a consultant.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor degree or master degree in legal sciences or management or business administration.
  • Minimum experience of one year in the field of local economic development, decentralization, local governance, gender sensitivity.
  • Familiarity in dealing with cooperation agencies and sponsors
  • Follows all relevant procedures, processes, and policies
  • Identifies issues, opportunities, and risks central to responsibilities
  • A strong sense of organization
  • Ability to work with diverse sets of individuals in the office and the field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency required in Arabic, English and French.
