Background

USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities (TADAEEM) Project is a 4-year project that aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. Deloitte, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The Project team will work in 11Governorates, 31 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country through four regional hub offices located in Kef, Kairouan, Gabes and Tozeur, supported by headquarters in Tunis.

 Objectives

The regional report writerwill provide technical writing, editing and formatting support for Project deliverables submitted to USAID and other partners. The writer willtrack weekly reports and technical report submissions and produce final products for Regional Manager and MEL Manager approval under the technical guidance of the MEL team in Tunis.  The regional report writer will report to the Regional Manager who will manage their day-to-day activities and assignments.

Specific Tasks

  • Compile weekly reports from inputs, summarizing information to emphasize impact and relevance in line with project objectives;
  • Provide editing and formatting support to project teams including:
    • Drafting success stories and Facebook posts for submission to MEL Tunis.
    • Writing up regional hub highlights.
    • Editing and formatting technical reports and presentations.
  • Create templates and forms to streamline the reporting process, as needed;
  • Ensure project deliverable content is consistent with branding, culture and goals;
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge management system for collecting and tracking project deliverables;
  • Integrate visually-appealing photographs, graphics and illustrations in project deliverables;
  • Develop other materials as required to promote project results; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Reporting Requirement

The Report Writer shall report to the Regional Manager and the MEL Manager. S/he shall work closely with other the wholeoffice at the Regional Hub.

 Assignment location

The Report Writershall operate out of the Regional Hub (Kef, Kairouan, Gabes or Tozeur)

 

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 3
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Strong writing, grammar, editing and quality assurance skills in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme precision and attention to detail
  • Excellent multitasking, organization and prioritizing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to independently write reportsfordevelopment programs in English with ability to incorporate French and Arabic inputs
  • Outgoing personality able to engage effectively with technical staff and work as part of a supportive team to document results in clear terms
  • Ability to meet and exceed deadlines, self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Past experience with donors’ projects is preferred, especially prior experience with USAID
