Background

TADAEEM project is implementing USAID’s Tunisia Accountability, Decentralization and Effective Municipalities. This 4-year governance project aims to help the Government of Tunisia decentralize governance to the institutions closest to its citizenry and continue to strengthen its nascent democracy. The project, alongside a team of subcontractors, will work to enhance citizen participation in the process of governance as well as the government’s capacity to deliver the services that citizens prioritize. The project team will work in 10 provinces, 30 adjacent municipalities, and with the central government in Tunis to ultimately strengthen the ecosystem of stakeholders and institutions across the country.

Objectives

The TADAEEM Driver and Logistics Support will provide safe, transport services for project staff within the limits of country borders in support of authorized project activities. He will also provide limited logistical support for routine project activities.

Specific Tasks and Deliverables

The TADAEEM Driver and Logistics Support, will undertake the following tasks:

Driving

• Operate project vehicles as assigned by supervisor;
• Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with project policies/regulations;
• Monitor vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to project management;
• Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by project and supervisor;
• Keep the vehicle and vehicle related equipment ready, clean and on standby – ready for use at all times;

Logistics Support

• Provide project support with registrations;
• Assist, as required, with logistics in the office and as requested by project leadership;
• Cooperate and be of assistance to staff and visitors entering/ departing the project office;
• Adhere to all project policies and procedures as outlined in TADAEEM policies and procedure manuals;
• Other duties as assigned.

Level of Effort and Timeline

Thisassignment will be long term.  Employment will be one year renewable and will begin as soon as possible.

Reporting Requirements

The Driverand Logistics Support will report to theOperations Manager.
