Search in Tunisia
SFCG’s mission in Tunisia is to promote the culture of dialogue and diversity through the involvement of
all parts of society while building their capacities. SFCG works in Tunisia to help members of Tunisian
society to address conflicts and differences constructively through cooperation and dialogue. SFCGTunisia works across multiple channels, mainly with youth, CSOs, media actors, security forces, and local
authorities to build the capacity of individuals and institutions to address challenges including differences
and acting on common points. Through this approach and partnerships, SFCG-Tunisia has four main
strategic objectives: (i) Promoting Peace Education; (ii) Fostering non-violent social dialogue; (iii)
Enhancing participatory and inclusive governance; and (vi) Transforming Violent Extremism in Tunisia.

We are searching for…
Search-Tunisia is looking to recruit a Graphic Designer for a new, exciting project that leverages mass media
to promote democratic consolidation and youth leadership. Search strongly believes that fostering youth
engagement in the political sphere holds the potential to develop a lifelong engagement in the democratic
process and sustain Tunisia’s democratic transition. Based on this belief, Search and its production partner
Ma’an network will produce a reality television program to increase young women and men’s interest in
constructively participating in politics, peacefully engaging with their national and local governments, and
improving mutual understanding and trust, ultimately contributing to higher youth turnout in the 2019 elections
in Tunisia.

Your contribution
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a graphic charter for project,
as well as to create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that
inspire, inform, or captivate our audience. (S)he will develop the overall layout and production design
templates under the supervision of the Media Officer. The Graphic Designer will work under the direct
supervision of the Search Media and Communications Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and implement the graphic guidelines for the project’s Media communications
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based, and animated presentations
    for the project
  •  Produce creative layouts and designs for deliverables on the project requiring conceptualization
    of ideas in preparation of original art for print or electronic documents or video animations
  •  Offer conceptual design and production solutions for the project
  • Manage routine design projects from conception through production, effectively prioritizing work,
    and balancing multiple priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Design reports and other communication materials for print and electronic distribution for the
    project
  • Design collaterals for all events on the project
  •  Improve and edit artwork, photos, charts, and other graphic elements
  •  Prepare layout and design information and communication materials for the project (banners,
    posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards)
  • Create animations for illustrative purposes for the project such as 2D animations, presentations,
    and more advanced solutions
  • Manage custom photo editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment)
  •  Assist with basic video editing tasks

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other
duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Minimum Bachelor degree related to graphic design
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a graphic designer on large media projects
  • Prior experience in a similar environment with a national or international non- governmental organization or similar experience in a non-profit organization will be a plus Interest in peacebuilding and conflict transformation
  • Demonstrated experience working with local partners
  • Works cooperatively with others to be part of a team; values individual differences and demonstrates a commitment to knowledge sharing and informal learning for the benefit of the team
  • Able to work under short deadlines with limited direction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and oral Arabic and English and/or French
  • Excellent Adobe photoshop/illustrator skills
  • Strong Adobe After effects skills
  • Basic knowledge of Final cut pro x/Adobe Premiere pro
