Objectives of the position

Oxfam is looking for a Recruitment Officer for its office in Tunisia, to ensure that the Country Office are hiring the best possible talent in line with the Human Resources Management policies, strategies and procedures.

Post Conditions

  • Type of contract: Local fixed term contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Working hours: Full time (40 hours/week)
  • Location: Based in Tunis
  • Salary & Conditions: According to Oxfam salary scale and Oxfam HR policy and conditions in Tunisia
  • Reporting line: Business Support Manager
  • Starting date: As soon as possible

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensures all vacancies are filled with the suitable candidates within the targeted time for both staff and consultant.
  • Coordinates national recruitment procedures: elaborate job adverts, ensure publications, manage applications and coordinate recruitment interviews.
  • Assists the BSM with logistics for international recruitments and participates in recruitment interviews for national staff from an HR perspective.
  • In consultation with the BSM develops a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and recommends new sources.
  • Facilitates and discusses job offers and ensures that line managers organize the induction of new staff members and giving support on that responsibility.
  • Facilitates and discusses job offers, co-ordination and advising on the recruitment and selection procedure.

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with knowledge and experience in recruitment
  • You have demonstrated at least 5 years of relevant working experience in similar positions in the field in Tunisia or in MENA region, and an affinity with international development issues
  • Experience in NGOs / Humanitarian sector would be complementary assets
  • Commitment to respect all Oxfam's objectives and policies and to promote gender equity and diversity and the interests of marginalized people in all aspects of Oxfam's actions
  • Perfect command of Arabic, French and English
