Responsibilities:

The Communications Manager will play a key role in development and execution of Tunisian Scouts’ communications strategy, supporting programmatic, projects development, fundraising, and outreach goals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in storytelling, message development, media relations, event marketing/engagement.

Working closely with the management team and as a key member of the operations team, the Communications Manager will divide the time between digital communications, publications and building relationships with the media to promote the different outputs. The Communications Manager will help improve the external communications and relations for the Tunisian Scouts, working with management and volunteers, to conceive ideas, build engagement plans and execute communication through various media channels.

Main Duties:

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies and reconcile related budgets.
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials.
  • Work with different departments to generate new ideas and strategies.
  • Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready.
  • Prepare detailed media activity reports.
  • Create communication and marketing strategies for new projects, launches, events, and promotions.
  • Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.
  • Lead the communication and public relations staff.
  • Manage the team in charge of press and internal communication
  • Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and develop scouting communication networks

Critères d'éligibilité

  • Master’s degree – preferably in communications, public relations, international development, or related field
  • Relevant experience required
  • A record of developing effective communications materials that advance business goals/organizational strategy
  • Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and bloggers
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and dynamic workloads
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Experience in non-profit sector (PREFERRED)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent Arabic, French and English
  • Keeps up with current communications trends and developments
  • Creative / Versatile, flexible and dynamic attitude Personable and outgoing / Strong interpersonal skills / Uses initiative, works autonomously / Can collaborate well with others / Influencer
