Dorra Abidi

Dorra is a specialist in enterprise upgrading and economic development. From 2012 to 2017, she worked on a World Bank project and several USAID assistance programs in MENA and Asia assessing the business environment and supporting private sector growth. She interacted with key national stakeholders to develop solutions and planning to raise private sector competitiveness and employment. She also worked closely with enterprise managers to ascertain their objectives, and then worked assiduously to deliver top-notch technical assistance, often achieving a breakthrough that leads to higher quality products, greater competitiveness and market and employment expansion. She has worked in industries as diverse as agro-food, apparel, and electronics, automotive and healthcare.

As a capstone to her experience within USAID Tunisia, she represented the project at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, where she mentored two Tunisian entrepreneurs for the Women Entrepreneurship Competition and met Vice President Biden. In 2016, she received FHI 360 Talent Cloud Program Award. Her professional and associative experience allowed her to put in practice the skills that she learned as well as to develop her analytical capacity, her sense of responsibility and her organizational skills.

Dorra received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Management and Strategy at the
Institute of Advanced Business Studies, Carthage Tunisia (IHEC). She is completing
her Ph.D., majoring in Strategic Management in Osaka University, on a scholarship from the Japanese government.
