The 3rd annual WikiIndaba conference will be held on 16-18 March 2018 in Tunis, Tunisia. This regional meeting is organized by Wikimedia TN User Group in partnership with CLibre Association and the Wikimedia Foundation.
WikiIndaba Conference is the regional conference for Africans, both within the continent, and in the diaspora. The first edition was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2014 by Wikimedia ZA, which happens to be the only Wikimedia Chapter in Africa. The second one organized by Open Foundation West Africa took place in Accra, Ghana in 2017.
This year’s edition will focus on engaging the regional community to join the Wikimedia movement through sharing experiences and ideas for projects,enhancing the capacities of local contributors with various technical workshops, strengthening the African network with new exchange opportunities and fostering collaboration amongst African nationals both within the continent and in the diaspora.
